the life of…

  • After being on the island for a few days we all moved into a daily rhythm. After the morning sun rose half of the boys would play while we still had the crisp morning air. Around the afternoon time the sun really started beating down on us and it became really hot and sometimes unbearable. When the horrid sun was beating down on us most of us boys didn’t do much; some napped while others would sat around or some continued to play. As evening time can the sun set and the air became cooler, unfortunately, with the cooler air comes the dark night sky.

  • Personally, I liked that there were no adults around. It was being able to do what I wanted when I wanted too. Although my choices were limited as to what I could do on the island.  Still I was very uneasy about my surroundings, and I am not going to say I wasn’t a little scared.  My focus was to make sure we had enough to eat and drink. Like I have said before I am one of the oldest, so I felt like I had to step up and take charge some of the times.
